15.10.09

Today’s working day started very early for me and Masha. Already at eight o’clock the work was in the full progress in the bakery while Pasha and Masha B. were still sleeping soundly. There was a big order for cakes and other bakery products for this day. Apart from the usual number of bread we also had to do three different types of cakes: crostata with marmalade, carrot and almond cakes, apple cakes and two types of pizza: quiche with eggs and green pumpkin and pizza ripiena con erbe amare it means pizza filled with bitter herbs. All these things were a special order. All the products were not made with the usual ingredients. All of them were strictly ecological and very healthy. Instead of white flour we used the wholmeal flour . Instead of sugar we used the fructose and the sunflower oil or butter were replaced with olive oil. The milk and cream were replaced with soya drinks. All the recipiec were adapted and modified to the client’s needs by Alexandra. To put it in a nutshell, a cake like this produced in this way costs from 15-20 Euro per kilo.
We had to work in two teams. Masha was busy making bread because she likes it more and I helped Alexandra to make this special order. Later when Masha finished making bread ,she also came to help us. Till lunch all the sweet things were ready. Masha made all bread on her own!!! Today it was a bit different day than the other days, Laura made lunch because we all were very, very busy in the bakery. Immediately after lunch we went back to the bakery for making pizzas. It’s a quite an interesting occupation. With pizza we got done much faster =)) In the evening Patrice took cooks to the restaurant and we stayed on the farm.
