Monday

At 7 o'clock Tanya went to help Laura to make breakfast. Breakfast was very light as usually, no sausages, no cucumbers, only bread with butter, marmalade and cheese=)) A typical Italian breakfast. After breakfast Tanya and me were bottling vine, meanwhile Maria B. was baking bread with Alexandra. Pavel with Laura were making different types of flour. When we finished we went to clear classrooms. Alexandra was thankful. Masha B. and Pasha cleared their working places and we were ready. Masha B. was serving the table. Than Pasha, Tanya and me went to have a lunch. After that we went to Foligno.
There we visited shops, watched architecture, people. There was siesta, so there was not a lot of people. We had ice cream. Italy is quiet famous for its ice-cream. It was really good even I’d say very, very good. Molto BUONO! We also learnt that “gelaterias” will close soon for the winter period so we have to eat as much as we can now :). Tanya bought souvenir. We did not have a lot of free time because we had to go back to the farm to have practice in the kitchen. Pavel and Tanya were making “gniocchi” which is pasta made with potato dough. It’s very soft and in Umbria (the region were we are) it’s served with red sauce but it can be also made with pesto. Very stodge meal. Alexandra promised to show us how to make good pesto but she has to find some fresh basil and it’s not easy as it’s not the right season. But she will do her best! :)
